About Ebony
My path into naturopathy began in my early twenties, shortly after I married, when I was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune condition that significantly affected my daily life and confidence. After spending thousands of dollars on various well-meaning doctors and specialists, with little to no relief, I resigned myself to simply trying to manage the condition long-term.
In those early days, our lifestyle was far from ideal — frequent processed dinners and generous servings of ice cream and chocolate were the norm. Despite the sensible foundation I’d been raised with, I ignored it completely, which only contributed further to my ill health.
Eventually, my husband and I decided to make a change. We started with the popular Atkins diet of the time, which meant cutting out most processed foods. To my surprise, I began experiencing real improvements. While I knew this was only part of the picture, it sparked a deep curiosity about the role of diet in healing. This led me to explore broader lifestyle changes and eventually alternative and natural therapies. The transformation I experienced was life-changing, and I have never looked back.
Having worked in allied health in the Gippsland region since the age of eighteen, with a desire to help others, it felt like a natural progression to pursue my Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy. This was my opportunity to give back — to support and educate others on their own healing journeys, just as I had walked mine.
I’m often asked if I wish to specialise in one particular area. After much reflection, I realised I don’t want to limit myself to just one field yet. Every person has a unique story, and I am passionate about supporting the full spectrum of health — from women’s and men’s health to paediatrics, healthy ageing, gut health, autoimmune conditions, chronic health conditions, ADHD, autism, and beyond. My greatest joy is helping each individual find their own path to vibrant health and wellbeing.
Outside of clinic you will find me hanging out with my husband and two daughters, spending time in my vegetable garden, chasing the chickens, or going camping and hiking with family and friends. I want everyone to live their life to its fullest capacity, to heal, to thrive and be the best you can be.
My philosophy
I believe true healing happens when we listen deeply to your body, your story, and your individual needs. As a naturopath, I offer a caring, personalised approach that honours who you are; not a one-size-fits-all approach. Together we’ll create a gentle, practical plan that fits your lifestyle and your budget, using the most appropriate natural therapies to support your body’s own healing ability. I prescribe only when truly needed, always preferring the simplest and most effective solutions first. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and sustainable tools so you can feel your best — naturally, sustainably and affordably.
